Great review! I have this book and I'm enjoying it also. My Standard Poodle has arousal issues on leash and it's kept us from pursueing agility (even though he loves to run the courses). I became so despondant about my dog's threshold problems that I decided to take him out of classes alltogether and just simplify his life. I called my trainer (who is an internationally reknowned positive trainer) again last night and found out that she just started a CU class and asked me if I'd like to join! She thinks it will really help Joey to be able to focus and enjoy class again. I think she might be right! I can't wait to start with him next Monday.

What I really like about this book is that Leslie UNDERSTANDS reactive behavior. When my dog lunges and barks on leash most people would think that he is being aggressive. If you know my dog, you know that he has ZERO aggression in him. It's not "Leash Aggression" it's anxiety. Leslie talks about this behavior at length and you can tell she really gets it.

I liked your article and the recommendations that are provided. There are a ton of opinions out there that are both honest and bad. If you have any more recommendations concerning natural health or simliar topics, that would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great writing!
