Hello,

My dog has never had a chewing problem, she is now 14 months old and I believe that ” I FINALLY GOT IT” she has many many SQUEEKY toys that she loves, I truly believe that this is the reason why she has never chewed up anything even the things that she can reach such as phone, wires, rug fringe, shoes, the only other things she loves to chew is paper.. so my slant on this is, she has an abundance of toys that she loves…potty training is the worst thing, we are both confused..

Thanks for the (mostly) positive feedback about the interview, and I am very glad to hear that it will be helpful to those of you out there who are housetraining a dog or puppy.

I believe the book I recommended was “The Culture Clash” by Jean Donaldson. It’s fantastic.

Other resources can be found on my web site, under Recommended Resources. There is lots of good info that addresses some of the other questions that were asked.

Oh boy was that a good. My puppy is only 5 month old and I do have trouble!!! well with almost everything. so keep it coming, all the audio’s in the world.
my latest problem is the biting and chewing everything. Any advice on that? Sif

The interview with Amanda Brothers was OK. I think Chet does just fine on his own. My issue is trying to train two puppies at once (sisters). We got them at 3 months old (2 months ago). They don’t like to be separated and won’t go out for my husband, unless I’m not home. How do I get them to be away from each other without whimpering so I can work with one at a time? They are good girls, they just need to be taught a signal to go out and work with refining a few other things. They also need to not keep looking for “Mom” when “Dad” is perfectly capable of taking care of them. He wants to work with them playing fetch and would like to get into frisbee with them. (We used to have an awesome frisbee dog many years ago.) Thanks!

problem is – i am an Indian, unfamiliar to american accent, so most of the conversation went over the head. earlier i have enjoyed your video and write ups also and i could train my dog ‘go to the mat” and could stop unwanted welcome jump!
i would also love to buy your traning method, if i get instruction in writing or with video.
